 Green Cape

26-29 January 2012

Coordinator: Chris Bloomfield

The original trip notice has been archived.

The first club trip to Green Cape since 2004 was a great success. The campground was uncrowded and relaxed, with wallabies, possums, lace monitors and potoroos making sure that no rubbish was left around.

The club's shiny new compressor provided full tanks almost faster than the divers could empty them.

The weather cooperated too - aside from one afternoon where it was quite windy and one overnght shower, conditions were benign, if a little bumpy due to an easterly swell. Water temperature was 16-19C (love those thermoclines), with reasonable viz in most places.

Stumps were pulled at Green Cape on Sunday morning, allowing a couple of dives to run out of Eden to the Tasman Hauler and the Navy Wharf.
