Due to the introduction of Voluntary Student Unionism (VSU) the membership fees for both the ANU Sports and Recreation Association (SRA) and the Scuba Club are changing this year.
For ANU students SRA membership is still free, for everyone else the fee will reduce from $120 to $99. This reflects the reduced contribution being made by the ANU for students, students pay less, so therefore non students also pay less. Students are automatically members of the SRA unless they 'opt out' and DO NOT have to pay this fee.
Because the SRA will be providing less funding to all clubs, they have set a minimum club membership fee so that clubs can recoup some of the shortfall. The new Scuba club membership fee will be, $30 for ANU students and $50 for everyone else. Please note that the other prices are not changing (boat dives and gear hire).
